Welcome to DanceWorks Boston

DanceWorks Boston is the city's largest performance-based dance organization for trained dancers (18+) who want to continue choreographing and performing after college and into their adult life.

Selling-out shows twice a year, DanceWorks now in both Boston & New York City, exploded onto the Boston dance scene in 2010 and hasn't looked back. A collective of more than 75 young adults, our dancers - many of whom have been dancing all of their lives - have experience choreographing and performing with their respective college dance teams, hip-hop crews, and dance companies.

"The life of a dancer is unique. After you graduate from your college dance company, there are very few options for talented dancers to continue dancing and performing. That’s what I missed, and wanted to replicate. Performing is the fun part, and it is the core of what DanceWorks Boston has to offer."

Men and women come together to collaborate, choreograph, rehearse, and perform in one of the biggest dance shows in Boston. Featuring original works that blend high energy hip-hop, jazz, contemporary and lyrical, the DanceWorks Boston Project is held at the BU Dance Theater and attracts over 500+ spectators every June and December. The show is a jam-packed, two-hour long production that is anything but your typical dance recital.

Dancers of all backgrounds living within the greater Boston region are encouraged to register every spring and fall.
