Raimi Neal
Raimi grew up in a family of artists, musicians, and performers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where they developed an enduring passion for the fine arts. They received comprehensive training in various dance genres and studied classical violin both privately and as a member of city, regional, and state orchestras. In 2021, their dedication to music led them to the Boston area, where they pursued a scholarship in Violin Performance at the Boston Conservatory of Music. While at the Conservatory, Raimi minored in dance, furthering their skills through the Contemporary and Commercial Dance programs.
Since moving to Boston, Raimi has become an enthusiastic part of the local dance community. They train and perform with Isiah “Zay” Beasley’s Boston-based Hip Hop company MlzMvmnt (MVRZ), teach Commercial-Style Heels, and regularly take classes at Boston Dance Studios. In addition to performing they enjoy collaborating on dance visuals, modeling, and photography projects with fellow artists. Season 29 marks Raimi’s seventh season performing with DanceWorks Boston and their third season as a choreographer. They are extremely grateful for the creative opportunities DanceWorks has provided them, as well its vibrant and welcoming community, and is very excited to begin this season’s rehearsals!
