Katie Pascarella - Community Manager
Katie is thrilled to be DanceWorks Boston’s Community Manager. In her role, she works closely with the Executive Director on social media, marketing, and community event logistics for each season.
Katie started her dance journey at the age of four, at a local non-competitive studio. At age nine she joined Rhythm Dance Company where she started competing in regional competitions and attending workshops and conventions. Katie is trained in various styles of dance such as tap, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, ballet, pointe, and heels. During this time, she was involved in Speaking in Taps, a pre-professional tap company run by Aaron Tolson. This group performed at local events and made occasional television appearances. Alongside dance, she competed in regional gymnastics meets within the teams of Gymnastics Learning Center in Shrewsbury and Massachusetts Gymnastics Center, in Westborough, Massachusetts.
Katie continued her love of dance after high school at Eastern Connecticut State University, where she was a board member of both the Eastern Dance Team and the pre-professional group “Modern Movement”. She performed with her team at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) national competition in Orlando, Florida as well as choreographing dances, teaching classes, and organizing events and showcases for the groups. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern in May of 2024 with a degree in Communication. She now works in Brookline as a Preschool Teacher as well as serving as the Community Manager of DanceWorks Boston!
In her free time, Katie loves to read, attend farmers markets, and spend time with family and friends. This will be her fourth season with DanceWorks Boston - and she is so excited to be back on stage for Season 29!
